Chen Yi Fang (Director)

Graduated from an overseas Top Music Institution, Fang majored in Advanced Musicology and Performing Arts back in 1994 before spending over 10 years of her musical journey, specializing in the Development of Vocal Fundamentals and Classical Vocal Production. As a dedicated and inspiring educator in vocal training, Fang has established an active career in developing fundamentals vocal techniques and skills for young and aspiring vocalists and artistes in Singapore for over 10 years. She is well-known amongst her students for her motivating, stern and unyielding coaching style. Fang was the appointed trainer for the Centre of Music & the Arts (ITE) in year 2004 and 2005 and NTUC P.L.A.Y. Mandarin Singing Training. She was also invited to be the guest speaker of “Arts for all - Community Sing-Along 2009” Seminars, organized by the National Arts Council, as well judging for many major singing competitions in Singapore.

Jeff Teay (Associate Director/Vocal Instructor)

Being one of the top 24 finalists of Project Superstar 2, Jeff has been an in-house vocal training instructor for Focus Music - Pop Singing Course since 2007. His jovial yet stern style of coaching was well received by many students. Besides being active in the entertainment industry, Jeff also has many performing and judging experiences, such as his role as the “Little Yellow Bean” for local music variety show “Music in the Air”, and appearing as the “Stars of Tomorrow” for local variety game show “I Luv Sunday”. He was also invited as a guest performer at various concerts such as “Late Night at Esplanade” - Li FeiHui Concert 2007”, Star Virgo Concerts, “Li FeiHui – 20 Years Tribute 2008” at Esplanade Concert Hall and more. Jeff was a judge at the Inter-secondary school singing competition finals 2007 and was also chosen as the performing artiste for the original song composition for “S-Pop Hurray!” – Song writing Competition 2008.

Tino Chai (Music Director)

TINO LIVE MUSIC have been collaborating with FOCUS MUSIC in 2017. TINO, one of the founder in TINO LIVE MUSIC, ARTISTE TRAINING & MANAGEMENT COMPANY, also a music instructor, performer and have been involved in music industry for more than a decades. TINO is also a Music Director in FOCUS MUSIC.
Students and artistes have collaborated with include celebrities from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China; such as JJ (Lin Jun Jie), A-Do, Hong Jun Yang, Rynn (Lin Yu Zhong), KingONE (Wang Chuan Yi), Lin Zheng Hao, Hayden (Huang Jing Lun), William Soo (Su Yong Kang), Yong Bang, etc.

Yan Yu Tian (Guitar/Ukulele instructor)

Mr Tian is the instructor for our Pop Guitar Course. His expertise in guitar stretched beyond 30 years. He has lived in Taipei from the year 1986 to 2000. His ample experience in live performances was mainly gain over his stay, as he had performed in music cafes for more than 10 years in Taiwan. On top of that, he has also published more than 40 songs in the mid-1990s. In his classes, Mr Tian emphasizes on live performance skills. This gives his students the opportunity to grasp performance skills and build a strong foundation for live performances over the course.

Iris Judotter(Vocal Instructor)

Iris Judotter is a music producer and singer-songwriter from Singapore who has performed and produced for various regional projects and venues in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan as well as China. She has released an album under her now defunct music label, Above The Line Music and is now in the process of releasing the second one under Judotter Productions. Her previous teaching and vocal producing experience helps her to devise the most effective methods to develop her students vocal abilities based on their individual vocal characteristics.

Seah jia Qing (Vocal/Guitar Instructor)

From singing to playing the guitar,jiaqing has it all as one of the most versatile performers one can find. Obtained his diploma of performing arts in Erhu at the age of 13, he has been pursuing his career as a full-time musician ever since he completed his national service.

As a singer, he has performed in some of the largest clubs in Singapore such as St James Shanghai Dolly. Other pubs include Shuffle bistro bar, 555 Thai Villa, OBar, Switch by timbre etc. andmany more, where his audiences never fail to return for more of his performances.

In 2013, he acted as one of the lead roles in his first movie debut "That Girl In Pinafore" as CaoGen, alongside with Julie Tan, Daren Tan, Hayley and Hayley Woo which was screened in all cinemas islandwide.

Jiaqing wasguest performer at Singapore Compass Awards 2013 and emerged as top 8 of StarHub Hear Me Sing competition in 2016. He was also selected to represent Singapore to compete in regional competition The Voice 决战好声 featuring coaches Gary Cao, Della, Sky We and Hanjin in 2017

Jeff Ng Chang Jun (vocal/keyboard instructor)

‘When there is music, I’m always there.’
Jeff is a singaporean singer-songwriter who has made quite an impact in the Singapore’s mandopop scene in recent years. His passion began when he was working part-time as a waiter in a local music cafe, and saw the resident singers perform. Since then, he has fully grown into a successful performer and even writes his own songs. His inspirations are the kings of Mandopop, Singer-songwriters like JJ Lin and Jay Chou, and powerhouse singers like Gary Chow.
Looking at how these international artists have made their mark upon the world stage, Jeff is working towards the same goal to share his music with the world. No doubt, he has already made impressive progress in the local scene, he came out top 22 in Voice of China’s SG audition, snagged champion titles in many local singing competitions, held countless showcases and even had a sold-out ticketed mini concert just last year. As of now, he is working hard on his 2nd album and there is much to look forward to. So folks, this is definitely a voice not to be missed!

Vicky Lee(Vocal Instructor)

Graduated from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music, China. Modern vocal music of bachelor's degree.
2006 won the 'Mengniu yogurt super female Shenyang Division' champion, in 2007 was 'Shenyang I type I show radio FM92.1 channel' 5 of Best singer , Join in scream-records company of China. Performance in the Andy Lau’s movie“Who Knows the Female of the Women”at 2010. 2009 - 2012, as a band singer and guitarist active in Beijing's live house, such as: MAO live house, the stars on the scene, Yugong Yishan, D22, 13club etc.. Participated in the large-scale performances : Modern Sky Music Festival, Chongqing Longshui Lake first Dazu International Camping Music Festival, Shenyang Underground Rock Music Festival, Maya Music Festival, Haidian Park Music Festival, Ditan Park Infinite Star Music Festival, Memorial Hong Kong's return to the Great Hall of the show Wait.
She was invited by many Media interview,such as : Shandong TV China's original song list; 'chanelv' television interview; music life newspaper interview; 0086 magazine; players travel magazine; music time and space interviews. Vicky Lee has many years of professional vocal learning experience and years of stage performance experience. She is good at teaching vocal fundamental and pop songs.

Lim Si Tong (Vocal & Keyboard Instructor)

Si Tong began her performer role at the age of 20, where she started gaining experience from unpaid gigs and shows. Slowly and steadily, she built up her profile and now, she has been invited to perform in many cafes, events and shows by many famous organizations, with the most recent one being Singapore’s Chingay 2014, where she was one of the finale theme song singers, as well as guest artiste for Singapore Hits Awards 2014 roadshow (新加坡金曲奖入围名单发布会2014) to announce the nomination lists.

As a music instructor, Si Tong has been invited to be the guest speaker for music talks and conducted many music workshops at various MOE and tertiary schools, i.e. Anderson Primary School, Raffles Girls’ Primary School, Tanjong Katong Girls’ School, Cedar Girls’ School, Nan Chiau High School, Pei Tong Primary School, Hwa Chong International School, Raffles Institution, Rosyth School, Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, NAFA, Maha Bodhi School, Kranji Secondary School, Chong Fu Primary School, Springdale Primary School, Anchor Green Primary School, Pioneer Primary School, and Damai Primary School. She has also been training students in London College of Music’s Popular Music Vocals examination grades all the way up to Diploma (DipLCM) standard, with most students achieving distinction grades. She is definitely one who inspires many.

Allen Xu Guang Li (Vocal Instructor) ,

graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in Broadcast Media Diploma. Allen came in touch with Music by the influence of his parents .  The first album he got was Michael Jackson’s “BAD” he felt in love with Michael`s songs and grew up with his music . He participated in his secondary school singing competition “KCP Super Star” and emerged as champion for the Solo Category. This is his first achievement in his music path .Because of his passion for music , he also took part in many competitions and performances in Singapore . Joined "Power Duet" National Singing Competition in 2009 and "Singapore Pop" in 2010 respectively, of which his group emerged as the Grand Champion , Allen also joined “Sunsilk Academy Fantasia” and performed at “Chong Feng” “Chinese Festival Of Art” Resort World Sentosa for National Day Celebrations and many other performance under local company, "Tan Chang Ren Music". Allen also Sings in Pubs at Hood Bar and Shuffle . Since from young his passion in music become more and more so he start to learn music by himself , things like music arrangement and music composing , Allen also did music arrangement for Local Artist E.T Ong and his EP which published in iTunes.

Yi Ling (Vocal Instructor)

Yi Ling began singing at the age of 12 with a group of friend who share the same interest and have never stop singing since then. She believes that singing is a way to move one's soul and music is the source of the most intense emotions one can feel.  Over these years, Yi Ling start to uncover her desire to help individuals explore their own singing talents. Most people often look for "singing lessons" when they look to begin singing. However, Yi Ling believes that learning to sing is about "voice lessons", as she will teach you to master the use of your natural instrument, which is your own unique voice. To her, she believes that if one has passion to learn and put in hard work to fine tune the appropriate singing technique, everyone will be able to find their own inner voice and present the best singing style of themselves.

Solomon Chua Zhe Yi (Vocal Instructor)

Zhe Yi is currently a performing artiste under Tan Chang Ren Music Station (TCR Music). His journey in music started when he took part in National Xinyao Singing Competition and emerged as Grand Champion back in 2010. In 2011, his group also clinched the Grand Champion of “Power Duet”, a national duet singing competition organized by Mediacorp.
Zhe Yi continued his passion in singing during his two-year National Service at the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company (MDC). Zhe Yi is also an official member of “Young Voices of Xinyao” (新谣新生代), a vocal group under TCR Music. With his experiences throughout the years, Zhe Yi aspires to work with more talented artists and share his passion with more like-minded people who enjoy singing and performing.

Chen Le (Vocal Instructor)

Chen Le is a pianist and composer born in Nanjing and residing in Singapore. He holds a bachelor's degree in piano performance and performed in various concert venues such as SIA Theater, Lee Foundation Theater, Esplanade concert hall , library esplanade, Yale Nus Performance Hall and SOTA concert hall with solo works including his work as well as chamber music. His own work contains a wide variety. A few of his highlights are: " ‘’Spin‘’( 2015) for meditation dance with Mark Hill, Austrilia actor, director.
Theater music "the ugly one" (2014) with Brazilian Director Andre Pink.
Music concrete "Blue forest" (2015)
Four Seasons: for dance and piano (2015) He is currently writing a contemporary opera for prominent Soprano Stella Zhou (周明伦).
Chen Le is also with virtuoso violinist Jiazi as "Le and Jiazi DUO" on piano and violin to explore chamber works for piano and violin (2017 to now).

Grace Qiu (Vocal and keyboard instructor)

Grace graduated from Beijing Qianjin University school of Music education where she specializes in piano, music theory and vocal performance. In 2000, she formed her own band with a group of music loving companions and they performed at varies places in Harbin. Under  recommendation,  Grace came to Singapore to perform in 2004. She was able to sing while seamlessly playing her instrument . Grace returned to China briefly in 2006 and was rehired in 2008 by the same company as a piano accompanist. While working as an accompanist, Grace also teaches  vocal techniques part time. She taught her students how to project their voices, how to listen to the accompaniment  and vocal skills used in Pop songs. Grace is a highly professional music teacher with solid foundations and rich experience performing Pop songs live. With her duel focus of Professional music literacy and practical live performing skills, we are certain her students can improve tremendously.


Lin Si Tong (Vocal & Keyboard Instructor)

Zhenliang (Vocal Instructor)

As a performer and local artiste, Zhenliang started off the lead singer of local band DFC 大风吹 (2008 Singapore Mediacorp Channel U Reality Band competition, Superband, as 1st Runner-Up) having released an EP “DFC大风吹 debut” in 2009. With a flair in song writing, Zhenliang has penned songs and lyrics not only for the band, whose EP “大风吹” was nominated for “Best Indie Production” at FM100.3's e-Awards in 2010, but also for TV dramas which aired on CCTV China (“最初的回忆” for《行医》) and regional artistes like Hacken Lee, Lee Wei Song, Julie Tan陈欣淇 and etc. Zhenliang has years of experiences in teaching pop singing and has been invited as guest speaker to conduct music talks and various music workshops with MOE and Private schools.
